F-WORD on AIRR: TIMMYAXE & OPTIX
This Friday, two guests share the decks on F-WORD on AIRR. TIMMYAXE is a Bass enthusiast with a deep knowledge of electronic music. A member of the 911 collective and one of the people behind the Fight Dubstep parties, he also created and hosts «Subculture», a podcast exploring the Russian electronic scene. His DJ sets are about clean, powerful bass. OPTIX brings a musician's perspective to DJing. Before taking up the decks, he spent about a decade playing in a band and in a duo with a violinist. That background comes through in the care he puts into his transitions. Across eight volumes of «Bass Airlines», his selections move between UK Garage, Bassline, UK Dubstep and Drum & Bass. Half an hour each, with TIMMYAXE followed by OPTIX. I'll be on the mic. Listen from 7 pm on Radio Red Phuket, 102.75 FM or online at radioredphuket.com
