FAMILIAR / UNFAMILIAR - Solo Exhibition by George Kongmark

🌱🪾FAMILIAR / UNFAMILIAR Solo Exhibition by George Kongmark The latest solo exhibition by George Kongmark at SHOSHIN Tea, Phuket This exhibition is inspired by the concept of Shoshin, "the beginner's mind" not as a state of knowing nothing, but as the ability to remain open to seeing, even when encountering things we already know and recognize. To see the familiar as if encountering it for the first time. Through the body, nature, tea leaves, wood fragments, and found materials, the artist invites us to look again at what we have seen before to discover details, feelings, and meanings that familiarity may have caused us to overlook. When we stop thinking, "I already know," something familiar may become unfamiliar once again.
