Delete Your Account & Data

EVE INC. (developer of the EVE app) lets you delete your account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and what we may keep.

Option 1: Delete From the EVE App (Recommended)

Open the EVE app and sign in to the account you want to delete.

Go to Profile → Settings.

Select Delete Account and confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion right away.

Option 2: Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@eveinc.ca from the email address on your EVE account, with the subject "Account Deletion Request." We will verify your identity and delete your account. No app reinstall or login is required to use this option.

We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days and confirm by email when it is done.

What Is Deleted

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify:

  • Your profile (name, email, phone number, date of birth, profile photo, bio, and social links)
  • Your account credentials and authentication records
  • Your posts, reviews, comments, ratings, and uploaded photos
  • Your saved places, preferences, and activity history
  • Location data associated with your account

What May Be Retained, and For How Long

For legal, security, and fraud-prevention reasons, we may retain a limited amount of information after deletion:

  • Transaction and tax records: as required by law (typically up to 6 to 7 years)
  • Fraud, safety, and abuse signals: up to 24 months
  • Backups: residual copies are purged on our regular backup rotation, normally within 90 days
  • De-identified or aggregated data: which can no longer identify you, may be kept indefinitely

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you sign in again before deletion completes, you may be asked to confirm whether you still want to delete the account.

Deleting Specific Data Without Closing Your Account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove specific content. You can delete individual posts, reviews, photos, and links from within the app, and you can ask us to correct or remove specific personal data by emailing privacy@eveinc.ca.
